My Manager was very impressed with how assertive I am; I tried the broken record approach with other people and it works too, just back off.
Also I love throwing in the word ‘My priorities right now are with my Director’ – it’s getting odd reactions from people (they probably think I am ice cold now!), I sound much more official!! Had a 1:1 with boss first thing today and told him that I am here to manage him, taking everything I have learnt in.
