Crucial Traits for C-Suite EAs: Top 5 Skills in High Demand

Last week, we had an amazing discussion with two experienced recruiters, Sarah Howson and Marianne Whitlock from the Strategic PA Recruitment, where we delved into the essential qualities that define successful Executive Assistants at the C-suite level. Here are the top five skills mentioned by the recruiters.

✔ Communication skills: the ability to speak and write clearly, concisely, and professionally, as well as to listen actively and build relationships.

✔ Exceptional organisation skills: the ability to multitask, prioritise, manage time, allocate resources, and pay attention to detail.

✔ Superb professionalism: the ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, respect, and a positive image of the company and the executive.

✔ Outstanding collaborative skills: the ability to work as a team player, contribute ideas, align goals, and resolve conflicts.

✔ Willingness to learn: the ability to be tech savvy, understand the company’s mission, suggest improvements, adapt to change, and pursue professional development.

They also mentioned passion for the position as a bonus skill that makes an assistant stand out.

Sarah and Marianne will be speaking at the Today’s PA Conference in September. They will run a CV Clinic and will explain how to communicate your strengths as an Executive Assistant.
