As the office environment changes and evolves, PAs and EAs are finding themselves taking on a range of new roles and new management duties. These include “traditional” management responsibilities such as supervising teams, presenting to clients and managing projects.
Sometimes PAs are lucky enough to get some training in these areas. But it isn’t necessarily always the right kind of training. General management courses will certainly help but for PAs this isn’t always enough. Such training should be focussed on and be tailored to the needs of PAs and EAs.
PAs have a unique and challenging role, working for one, two, three (or even more) managers at the very highest level of the organisation. PA management training gives PAs the skills and knowledge to take on these new responsibilities. But it will also show how to balance these duties with the demands of a hectic day-to-day workload.
With PAs becoming more involved in sensitive issues such as change management and conflict resolution, there is a growing need for specialist PA training courses in management skills.
That’s why PA training – by PAs for PAs – is so important.
