PA Training and Job Hunting

In today’s job market, showing prospective employers that you have taken responsibility for your own career and PA training sends out a positive message. Acquiring new skills will certainly help you to stay ahead in your career. However, businesses also want to know that potential employees are pro-active and interested in their own personal and professional development.

Today’s employers also understand that soft skills are as important as the traditional secretarial skills. The range of PA training courses in supervising, mentoring, and time management are proof that there is a demand for PAs and EAs who possess such skills.

And once you’ve acquired these skills, you need to practice them and keep them up to date.  This is particularly true of your IT skills. You may have been on several IT courses and feel you’ve learnt all the tricks and time-saving tips available. But MS Office will keep evolving and attending a workshop to refresh your IT skills will always prove worthwhile.

But whatever PA training course you attend, whether for a week or a day, remember that as well as learning new skills (and refreshing existing ones) it is also an excellent opportunity to network – vital for any job hunt.
